The origins of Mother's Day

I like the references to the contradiction between the teachers and their followers. I'm not in agreement with the assessment of  Islam as a hijacked religion as its founder was *not* peaceful from anything I've ever read about him. I will act peacefully toward Muslims, despite this fact.  Am I wrong? Where are some records of Mohammed turning the other cheek? I'd like to know your thoughts.
